Description

Hello and welcome to Black Bone Ranch! Hidden in between the many forests, laying in the valley beneath mighty mountains is our little sacred place. Everything was old and decayed until we came and bought the place. It had so much potential and after more than a year's work it's finally all we imagined. Around every corner there's something new, something new to discover. We hope you enjoy your stay~

Black Bone Ranch is found in Toredalen, Norway.

1) Bermuda Meadows      [click]
Three massive meadows, separated with a wooden fence, at the foot of the mountains. The outer corners are bordered with pine tree forests running up the mountains. These are the meadows we keep our breeding stock in. They live in a big herd that divers in members from time to time. Horses on vacation, our youngstock, horses that need some time off or are used to breed with, they're all spending their time here, enjoying nature and being outside for as long as they can.
Sometimes all the fences' gates are opened up so the horses can roam all three meadows, and another time one or two fences are closed. This we do to not over use the grass, and give it some rest over time when it's needed.

2) Blackwood Home      [click][click]
This is the cozy home of Alan Blackwood and his two children Elliot and Elijah Blackwood. It's build partially out of wood, and partially out of stone. There's a combined living/kitchen room with a warm fireplace for cold winter days. There are three bedrooms (one for each family members) and there's one medium-sized bath room for them to share. It's not that many, but it's home.
Out in the garden there's a not much flowerbeds (there's not one of them that even thinks about using their not-so-green-fingers to make it a pretty garden), but the fact that the house is build on top of a hill and looks out over the Bermuda Triangle Meadows gives it the absolute best view of the property.

3) Garage
A large garage where we keep our large mechanical stuff so it can't rust out in the rain. Up on the attic we keep all our hay and straw supply for the horses, which we can easily access through the outside. (the place is a bit dusty, but hey, whatcha want with so much dusty stuff up in there.)

4) Paddocks
Paddocks, differing in size. A few are good as single or two-horse paddocks, while in others there can be put in three horses (as long as those are not massive ones, lol). These are easy for the horses to be turned out in for whatever reason. Sometimes there are paddock schedules in which is written who and when are being put out, but usually there are always paddocks free to be used.

5) Eastern Wing; Horse Barn      [click]
Like pictured in the link above, but than with white-beige cobblestone walls and red roofs. On the inside it's decorated with large, white stone poles and the same stone dividers between stalls. In some stalls there's put iron bars upon the wall divider, specially done for the horses that want a bit more privacy. In front the stall's locked in with a wooden divider with a wooden stall door, with also metal bars upon it. The boxes are 4,50 x 4,50 meters, while the 6 pregnancy boxes are 6,50 by 4,50 meters. The Eastern Wing has 25 boxes able to keep horses.

6) Western Wing; Horse Barn      [click]
The Western Wing is with interior and exterior exactly the same as the Eastern Wing, the only thing that is different is how it's all put inside of it. In the northern part of the Western Wing is a divided room with six large pregnancy boxes; a place that is completely divided with walls from the other part of the Western Wing. In this northern part we keep the mares that are pregnant, so we can keep a close eye on them and so they have enough room for their round bellies to move around and lay down when they want. The wall in the back is from ceiling to ground filled with a shelf, that's filled with stuff that might be needed when a mare goes into labor.
The southern part of the Western Wing is the same set-up as the Eastern Wing, and has 20 boxes able to keep horses.

7) Riding Hall      [click]
Decorated with long, stain glass windows. The light comes through the roof through the big glass panels that are put into the roof, so it's pretty light inside. On the southern side there's a second floor build in so people can go upstairs through stairs and watch from there. This is right above the entrance.

8) Northern Wing; Round Horse Barn
This is where we keep most of our cattle-work horses, since this is closest to where we keep our cattle. The horse boxes are the same size as in the other barns: 4,50 by 4,50 meters. In the right end of the barn is a tack room situated, with every horse's tack and other stuff put in shelves and hang up on the wall. This barn contains 10 boxes.

9) Outside Riding Arena A
This arena is mostly used by our western people. There are some poles (that usually are stacked upon the grass, just next to the outer fence of the arena), but nothing more serious jumping-related than that.

10) Highfall Meadow      [click]
The home to our beautiful Kiwistang herd. We have a large shed (able to keep up to 6 horses at the same time), and a beautiful shallow lake where they can swim and drink like they did in the wild. We like to keep our Kiwi's outside, where they come from, since we find they're most comfortable living in the out and open. Our herd consists of only one stallion and a few mares. They're probably be some foals born in the future, from which some will stay, and some will go.

11) Cross Country Track
A large, old meadow we've completely renovated to be our permanent cross country track. We've dug out a shallow lake in the middle so our horses can also get used by getting through the water during a course. Alan likes to change the course every now and than during sundays.

12) Stoneridge Grove
This place actually isn't part of Willowstone Ranch, but Ruth and his horses are found around our stable grounds pretty much. He's good neighbors (even though Ruth can be a little weird sometimes), so Ruth comes over a few times a week. He sometimes goes training with his beautiful mare in one of the arenas, other times he just roams around on her back, with a little creature called North following in their footsteps.

13) Parking Lot A
The parking lot that's boarding to the garage. There are a couple of parking places and two places where a trailer can be parked. Visitors as well as our staff can park it's car here, or further up on the second parking place. The Blackwood Family usually parks their car in the grass closer to their house (guess who doesn't like walking, lol)

14) Outside Riding Arena
One of the two riding arenas. This is the arena that's only used by our staff. People that rent a box for their horse can ride their horse in either the riding arena north of this one, or in the Inside Riding Arena. In this arena the staff usually only rides dressage, but it's also possible to set up a jumping course (all though we usually use the other arena north of here for the jumping stuff).

15) Outside Riding Arena C
This arena is completely the same as Arena B, that's a little south of this one. The only difference is that this arena is mostly used for the schooling and for the renters.

16) Covered Round Pen
Apart from the few round pens shattered around the stable grounds, we also have this covered one. It's not always warm and the sun isn't always shining, so we decided to have the opportunity to work the horses loose in a place that's covered. Only thing is that the pen is quite the walk from the Eastern and Western Wing... so the staff sometimes find themselves lunging in the Riding Hall when nobody's there to be bothered by it.

17) Farm Grounds
Alan's brother still likes to do some farming around, so this is the place where he grows his crops. Usually it has something to do with the horses, or with the cattle, but sometimes he just fills one of the fields for the fun of it with for example potatoes or something along that line.

18) Parking Lot B
The second parking lot on the stable grounds. This is where usually the people park that come for the schooling class, or bring their children to the schooling class. Apart from the car parking places there are also three parking places for trailers.

19) Cattle Barn
This is Burke's department. We have a couple of sheep [click] and we own a small herd of Highland cows [click]

20) Westwood Hill
A small group of trees on a hill, with a path looping up and around the hill. This is a place where some of the staff members trains the horses in endurance and speed, and also stamina.

Shattered around the rest of the stable grounds are many meadows, from small to large, to medium. In every meadow you can find a big through where there's always fresh water available and when there are horses in the meadows the staff will make sure there are hay nets knotted to the fence, so they always have access to fresh hay.

I love it so so much, the best layout i've ever seen, i've got a question, would it be fine with you if i used this layout for a minecraft horse barn? This build would stay 100% privat and i would never upload it, but i still want to ask if it is okay with you
